Colin walked down the street from the store, his feet scuffing along the hard concrete sidewalk. He breathed in, smelling the air. He loved this city, so much he couldn’t even explain it. It was his first and only real home, a place where he could live a somewhat normal life without fear. He’d only been in the city for a few months, and really hadn’t gotten around to meeting many people yet. He blamed that partially on his research, but he had a passion for books. His house came into view, it was fairly recognizable. It was the most modern looking of them all. He walked up the concrete steps and over to the door. Reaching into his pockets he frowned and then slapped a hand to his face. He groaned as he realized he left the keys in his book bag. He leaned his back against the door and thought to himself for a moment. He figured he would take a quick walk around town, just to kill some time since he wasn’t expected back for a little while anyways. Standing up straight he walked down the steps back onto the side walk and started walking towards the Blue Moon. It was a grand building, and was just fun to look at.
